TractorCo publishes standard shop labor rates so farmers, landowners, and equipment owners know what to expect before scheduling a repair. All prices below are shown before sales tax unless otherwise stated, and any diagnostic charge is disclosed and authorized before work begins.
Diagnostic Policy
How Diagnostic Time Is Billed
TractorCo will disclose the diagnostic charge and obtain customer authorization before work begins. After diagnosis, additional work is estimated and requires customer approval. TractorCo will not knowingly exceed the authorized amount without additional approval.
Shop Labor Rates
Standard Shop Labor and Diagnostic Rates
Standard Shop Labor
$130 per hour
Our base hourly rate for scheduled maintenance, repair, and general shop work performed at our Thorp facility.
Diagnostic Authorization
$130 minimum
Authorizes up to one hour of diagnostic time before any additional diagnosis requires your approval.
Hydraulic Diagnosis
$130 minimum
Pressure testing and troubleshooting for loaders, cylinders, hoses, and other hydraulic components.
Electrical Diagnosis
$130 minimum
Wiring, starting, charging, and sensor diagnosis to identify the source of an electrical issue.
Implement Fitment and Hydraulic-Conversion Evaluation
$130 minimum
Evaluation of implement compatibility or hydraulic-conversion feasibility before work begins.
Welding and Fabrication
$130 per hour
Plus materials and standard shop consumables, for custom brackets, repairs, and structural work.
Hose Removal and Installation
$130 per hour
Removal and installation labor for hydraulic hose replacement and repair.
Custom Implement Installation
$130 per hour
Plus parts and materials, for mounting and integrating implements and attachments.
Shop Supplies
Shop Supplies and Environmental Charges
Standard shop-supplies or environmental charges may apply and will be shown on the estimate before work is authorized. Significant materials are itemized separately.
Extraordinary waste, contaminated fluids, excessive cleanup, or outside disposal may be quoted separately.

A technician performs diagnosis within the authorized diagnostic minimum before any repair is recommended.
Written Estimate Provided
Additional repair work is estimated and presented for your approval before it continues.
Approved Work Completed
Once approved, we complete the repair with parts and materials itemized separately on your invoice.
