Tytan Tractors: Buyer beware. Before you consider buying a Tytan tractor you should read this.

Tytan Recall

Before you consider the purchase of a Tytan tractor you should come and compare a model 334 side by side with one of our high quality TYM tractors. We also invite you to take a look at the transmission parts from the last 4 tractors we had in stock. All four had the same problem and Tytan International has yet to issue a recall or service bulletin (as of 1/9/10). We have several Tytan buyers who would be happy to answer your questions regarding their experience. We are embarrassed to have ever established a relationship with Tytan.

John and Kimberly Sparks purchased a Tytan tractor in June 2007. In 2009 they traded in the Tytan for a new TYM tractor.

John's email of 25Aug07 regarding his Tytan: "It is not that I can't fix things on equipment, it is that I have to fix/replace/repair so many things on this Tytan that it has gotten to the point of being ridiculous. So far, I have spent more time fixing or diagnosing problems than I have actually using the tractor. It seems like every time I mow or dig a post-hole, I find something else that is broken, not working, or in need of replacement."

RECALL

TractorCo.com purchased 9 Tytan 324/334 tractors for resale. TractorCo.com consumers experienced 4 failures of the front steering bracket. At least one failure resulted in the front wheel falling off. In accordance with US Consumer Product Safety Act TractorCo.com has issued a report of a potential Class A hazard. Tytan International has manufactured a upgrade replacement part and issued it to consumers upon request. Tytan has not issued a recall. TractorCo.com is issuing it's own recall on the below serial numbered tractors. TractorCo.com recommends consumers discontinue operation of their tractor until an upgrade front steering bracket is installed.
